From the moment Ashly+John stepped into our studio we couldn’t wait to work with them!  Their wedding was special, because they were married at the church that John grew up in, and then walked through historic downtown Newnan to their reception venue – everything about their day was very intimate, local, and special – which made it a joy to photograph.  Ashly+John, thank you so much for the opportunity to tell your love story!  Love, R+A

We’re prepping for our next trip to Seattle to shoot Jie+Andy’s wedding (can’t wait to team up with Pink Blossom Events again on their wedding day!) and thought today would be a good day to share some of our favorites from their engagement session!  We met up with these two at the Seattle Arboretum and were able to shoot in the Japanese Garden for the first time, which was absolutely gorgeous!  We love having the opportunity to photograph our couples in locations that are meaningful to them…

Jie+Andy, we can’t wait to see you guys in just a couple of weeks on your wedding day!!!  Love, R+A

A week and a half ago we had the privilege of working with Savannah Kilpatrick to host 25 Atlanta photographers for our third group styled shoot of the year at an amazing venue (culminating in sunset photos on their helipad downtown!), and we’re thrilled to share some of our favorite images from the shoot with you today.  We also were able to capture a lot of behinds the scenes photos, which we look forward to sharing with you next week!  We simply can’t emphasize enough how lucky we are to have such a great community of fellow wedding photographers here in Atlanta, and to have the opportunity to be leaders in this capacity – it is so fun for us to be able to provide these shoots for everyone, to build up the local industry in the process, and to see how everyone interprets the same shoot in such different and creative ways.  We were a little busy during this shoot, running around trying to help coordinate everything, so we didn’t get to take as many photos as we would have liked, but we’re excited to share what we did get to capture on the blog today!
If you are a photographer in Atlanta and would like to be in the loop on how to attend these shoots, be sure to request to join our private Facebook group by clicking here.
A huge thank you to the AMAZING creative team (and our sponsors!) who worked so hard to bring this shoot to life:

This morning we’re going back through the archives to last summer!  First of all, let me say that last summer was crazy!  We spent the summer on the road, camping on the West Coast with a (then) 3 year old and 1 year old (and I was pregnant with #3!), and shooting weddings all over the Pacific Northwest.  I can officially say at this point that long term camping and pregnancy don’t mix….but I’m so thankful that we had the freedom to travel as a family and to work with so many amazing couples in the process.  Because we were living life on the road, we weren’t able to blog many of our weddings and shoots from last year, so this morning I sat down and made a list of everything we haven’t yet posted, and I’m looking forward to sharing more of last summer’s work with you!

Today we’re starting with Brenda+Matt’s Seattle engagement session.  You might remember these two from their beautiful winery wedding!  Each year the wild sweet pea flowers bloom at this Discovery Park in Seattle, and each year we try to take advantage of them – because as you can see, not only is the park gorgeous and rarely crowded, but the light is absolutely perfect in the evenings – so we were happy to be able to use this spot last year while they were in bloom!  Enjoy!
